A Miracle in Stone - Celebrating 50 Years of Conservation

AMS Ltd were delighted to be the main sponsor of a gala dinner celebrating Edinburgh World Heritage’s 50 years of conservation work.

The event was held at the Assembly Rooms, an eighteenth century meeting place built in the heart of the city’s New Town.

In 1971, the New Town Conservation Committee, which subsequently became Edinburgh World Heritage, set out on its mission to ‘save the New Town.’ 50 years later, and after completing over 1,500 projects in both the Old and New Towns, the gala celebrated what has been called the ‘greatest achievement of the conservation movement in post-War Britain.’

As an Edinburgh based company, AMS Ltd are proud to continue supporting this charitable which seeks to connect people to the culture, heritage and architecture of the city.
